This spreadsheet contains a list of all U.S. public libraries that qualify for scholarships because they serve a population under 25,000 OR have a rural locale code. If your library is on this list, you are eligible to receive a scholarship.

Are you surprised that your library is not on the spreadsheet? Please check this list, which contains all U.S. public libraries. Your library must have a “town” or “rural” locale code (31, 32, 33, 41, 42, or 43)  OR serve a population under 25,000 in order to qualify for a scholarship.

Data source for locale codes: The Institute of Museum and Library Services 2017 Public Libraries Survey (the most recent data available). You can view information about how locale codes are determined here.
